Jug Handle Trail: Location 10

This location (top) is at the second terrace, up a slope that was once an ocean bluff. A hundred thousand years ago, waves covered the grassland below you. Between this number and the next the tree stand is on a straight north-south line. This part of the terrace (bottom) was cleared for grazing by the family that settled here a century ago, but the forest is reclaiming the pastures.
